Job Posting for Part-time Associate SAT/ACT tutor

As our first part-time associate, you’ll take part in shaping the company and the role, as well as your students’ futures. It’s a very rewarding job and we hope you’ll find pride in the work.

About the job

• Tutoring high school students for SAT/ACT
• Part time (up to 10 hours a week). Scheduling is flexible, as long as the student can make it (typically non-school hours)
• Sessions are 1.5 hours each and are 1:1 in person or online. Opportunities for teaching group classes may arise in the future.
• Compensation: USD 70/hr
• Bay Area applicants preferred, remote applicants also welcome

Job requirements

• SAT/ACT score of 1550+/35+
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Prior tutoring experience preferred but not required
• Strong core skills in all SAT and ACT topics (Reading, Writing, Math, and Science)
• Great communicator
• (For Bay Area applicants) Must have an office location (e.g. in home) where students can meet you. No travel required; students come to you.
• (For remote applicants) Must have a strong internet connection.
• Ability to commit for at least 6 months
• Organized and able to coordinate schedules with students (this really is one of the hardest parts!)
• Multilingual candidates preferred (Chinese, Korean, major Indian languages)
